Accura Xtreme 200 is an ultra-tough white acrylate-based plastic. This photopolymer resin plastic has excellent strength, durability, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
Master patterns for vacuum casting, mechanical parts, functional prototypes, display models, snap-fit assemblies
Accura Xtreme 200 is white. We currently offer standard finishing which includes support removal and light sanding to remove nubs left from supports although some markings from supports may remain.
Production times depend on the model size but products ship between 6 and 10 business days with Priority manufacturing. The shipping time depends on your location and your chosen speed.
Accura Xtreme 200 is printed using stereolithography (SLA) technology, which uses a laser to solidify a layer of liquid resin onto a build platform at the top of the resin tank. The platform moves up out of the resin tank and the process is repeated, building the part layer by layer. The parts are then cured with UV light and supports are removed. This technology results in high resolution and detail as well as smooth surfaces with limited layer lines. Small artifacts of where supports were located may be visible on the final product.
Your model should be within the minimum and maximum bounding box sizes. The maximum bounding box represents the largest model that that we can manufacture. The minimum bounding box size is the smallest dimension in which we can manufacture in this material.
A supported wall is connected on at least two sides. Walls in your model must meet the minimum measurements to ensure it survives the printing and cleaning process. Thin walls are prone to warping during printing and are fragile to clean. Objects that meet the minimum requirements may still be rejected based on the geometry in which case our production team will communicate with you if the design needs improvements and can assist you to strengthen your model.
A geometry is considered a wire when it is thinner in both unconnected directions than its length. Wires that are under our suggested minimums are prone to breaking in the cleaning process, or warping.
We recommend these minimum measurements for details like embossing or engraving, based on printer resolution.
Hollow cavities will trap liquid resin so escape holes are needed in order for us to completely clean excess resin from a part.
Clearance is the space between two parts or features.
No interlocking or enclosed parts may be printed.
Up to 250.
1.3 mm diameter (or thinnest dimension if not circular)
Sprues are wires that hold several parts together and tend to be removed by the customer after receiving the model. Sprues need to be connected to at least two sides of the parts and the support material generated for sprues should not interfere with the models' structures. If sprues are placed above parts will result in rougher surfaces from excess support material than would not be necessary if the parts were printed separately without sprues. Since sprues often support larger masses relative to their size, the sprue thickness should be greater than a standard wire. See "Wires" for more details.

Print Lines or "Stepping"
Although SLA technology can create very smooth surfaces, a "staircase" effect, or print lines, can occur on the surface of your print, and is more pronounced on curved and angled surfaces.
Preventing Warping
Making your design more stiff (increasing torsional rigidity) will reduce the risk of warping. Longer walls need to be thicker than short ones.
Support Material
Stereolithography only prints one material at a time. Therefore support structures are printed in the same material as the part and need to be removed when parts are removed from the build plate. Support structures may adhere to the part in several locations depending on part geometry and orientation. After removing the supports, there may still be small nubs or artifacts on the surface of the part from where the supports were previously connected.
Orientation
Our production team does their best to evaluate your product and orient it to optimize either dimensionally accuracy or aesthetics depending on the application. Support material can leave small markings after removal so aesthetic features will be oriented to limit support contact.
Holes
We cannot clean holes that are too small relative to their depth. Additionally, tubes with corners can be difficult to reach and we may not be able to fully clean your model.
We recommend creating multiple access points to holes and small tubes so that we can properly clean your model.
